The Company of Men (CoM) exhibition is a curated event where ‘men explore masculinity’. An edgy, challenging, political and relevant exhibition, CoM encourages artists to explore and present a perspective on masculinity and male sexuality through the lens of being a gay, bisexual or transgender man.
Following the hugely successful 2015 season in Melbourne, CoM16 will travel to Sydney to be presented at the fantastic Gaffa Gallery, 281 Clarence Street, Sydney. The Company of Men is partnering eith ACON and HowHard to present CoM16 as a part of the 2016 Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras and the Specturm Now arts festivals. CoM16 will feature the work of 21 local and international queer artists, also included will be photographic and film work of international queer art superstar and provocateur Bruce LaBruce.
The Men of CoM16 are: Par Ahlander, Grant Cook, Antonio Da Silva, Mark Davis, Nik Dimopoulos, Gareth Ernst, Tyree Fifer, Steven Granger, Leo Herrera, Damien Hinds, Boni Jiminez, Anthony AF Jones, Bruce LaBruce, Antony Makhlouf, Elwyn Murray, Rogan Richards, Marc Savoia, Simonology, Greg Ure, Michael Van Leeuwen and Kiarash Zangeneh.
