Beginners Fundamentals Classes

With Blye Wilson

Learn the basic techniques of jewellery making in this beginners course. It covers piercing, filing, soldering, riveting, drilling as well as polishing and suits those with no prior knowledge in jewellery making. Students will have the opportunity to design and make a ring set as well as a pendant or earrings. 

Cost: $320 (materials included) 

Starts 2/2/16: 7 week course.Tuesday nights: 6:15pm – 8:45pm  

Intermediate Class

With Alida Cappelletta

This course is fitting to students who have completed a beginner’s class and or have some prior knowledge of jewellery making. The course is set at your own pace, allowing individuals to work on their own designs and projects under the supervision of a tutor. Advanced techniques may be demonstrated, which could include bezel setting, granulation and much more. 

Cost: $320 (materials included) 

Starts 5/3/16 : 7 week course Wednesday nights 6:15pm – 8:45pm  

Beginners and intermediate

This course is suitable for both those with no prior knowledge in jewellery making, as well as those more versed. Throughout the course some advanced techniques such as roller printing, metal inlay and wax carving will be demonstrated. 

Cost: $320 (some materials included) all courses are run by Alida Cappelletta

Starts 6/2/16: 3 week course Saturday 10am-4:30pm 

Starts 5/3/16: 3 week course Saturday 10am-4:30pm

Payment is available by calling the gaffa gallery office on 02 92834273 and making a payment over the phone. Any missed classes are the responsibility of the student and are not refundable. Class dates may be subject to change due to lack of numbers required, class fees are also subject to change. Refunds on courses will only be given if the course is cancelled or a place is not available in the course. Location: Level 2/ 281 Clarence street, Sydney 2000 Class numbers limited to 7 students.
