Her photographic and video practice examines mans emotional and physical relationships to the land and spaces we occupy. Her work has been exhibited in group and solo shows widely throughout New Zealand, Australia and Berlin and has been published in the book Pictures they want to make, edited by Edward Hanfling and Chris Corson-Scott with a foreword by Auckland Art Gallery curator Ron Brownson. Her curatorial practice engages with and supports emerging photographic and time based practices, she has curated exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand and has curated an issue of the online female photographic journal Common Ground. Talia is also one of the judges for the Photo Book Melbourne photo award for 2016.
