Rebecca Hinwood is a Sydney born contemporary jewellery artist. She graduated form the Australian National University in 2012, with a bachelor of visual arts, majoring in gold and silver smithing.
Rebecca Hinwood is a Sydney born contemporary jewellery artist. She graduated form the Australian National University in 2012, with a bachelor of visual arts, majoring in gold and silver smithing. She then completed another year of honours in 2013 and in 2014 she completed another six-month as an artist in residence. Rebecca’s work has been in several exhibitions and awards including her first solo exhibition Among the Gum Trees 2014, Contemporary wearables 2013, The Waterhouse Natural Science art prize 2014 and the National Contemporary Jewellery awards 2014. In the production of her work Rebecca focuses on capturing a feeling of beauty which is inspired by various objects and aspects of life that surround her. She is particularly interested in the beauty and fragility of Australia's natural environment.
